Automatic install and update of Derby databases

This would entail

  • Organization of derby databases by "series"
  • An index of available versions and series in a central location
  • a GUI Dialog for viewing current / recent versions
  • a script to create a local cache of derby databases based on some parameters.

I'm thinking of a system similar to how GenMapp? installs gene databases. The dialog should be available both in PathVisio? and CyThesaurus?
